D200 Employees Recognized for Service

More than 1000 total years of hard work were recognized recently at the District’s annual back-to-school kick-off meeting for all staff.  Fifty-nine staff members from all areas of the district were recognized and thanked for their contributions.  Special congratulations went to Mary Blietz, Bill Donato and Toby Parker-Goad who have all been with D200 for 30 years.  Please see “Read more” below for photos and a listing of all who were honored.

Jennifer Spear Appointed as Assistant Principal

Woodstock North High School is proud to welcome Mrs. Jennifer Spear as our new Assistant Principal.  Mrs. Spear fills the position vacated by Jeremy Schaaf, who accepted the position as principal at Northwood Middle School.

Registration Packets for 2015-16 now due!

Registration packets were due on July 6th.  Thank you to those who have returned their packet(s).  If you still have not, please do so immediately.  Completed packets MUST be returned in order for your student to receive their FINAL schedule! Please note that schedules students received back in May have most likely changed over the summer due to classroom balancing. If you have questions, please call (815) 334-2100.

D200 Welcomes New Thunder Athletic Director

The District 200 Board of Education has unanimously approved the appointment of Brady Stromquist as the new athletic director at Woodstock North High School.  He replaces former AD Nic Kearfott, who resigned in June and accepted a position as athletic director in DeKalb, Illinois.

Building Trades Program Completes 40th Home!

The 2013-2015 Building Trades Home is complete! This is the 40th Woodstock home completed by the Building Trades program.  Building Trades students from both high schools worked together under the direction of Building Trades instructor Pete Catan to construct the house is located at 631 Prairie Ridge Drive in Woodstock.

Class of 2016 Senior Yearbook Portraits

H.R. Imaging's Root Studios is the official photographer of all students for the yearbook, this includes Senior Photos.  Pictures taken by private photographers are not allowed to be in the yearbook.  The attached letter explains options and pricing. There is no fee for seniors who just need their photo taken for the yearbook. You will be getting a postcard/letter from Root Studios this summer with the designated time you are scheduled to come to WNHS for your photo session.

Woodstock North High School is on the Washington Post's list of America's Most Challenging High Schools for 2015! This is an amazing accomplishment that reflects the hard work of our teachers, counselors, associates, administration, assistants, and everyone else at Woodstock North that contributes and collaborates to offer rigorous opportunities to our students. But more significantly, the student body deserves to be recognized for their hard work and willingness to stretch themselves beyond their academic comfort zones.
