Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences

Letters on how and when to sign up for conferences will be mailed out at the end of this week. Conferences will be held on Wed., Oct. 5 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thurs., Oct. 6 from 9 a.m .to Noon, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Signing up for conferences will take place with the Pick-A-Time system again this year. Interested in Running for School Board?

The McHenry County Clerk's Office will be holding a training/informational session for those interested in running for elections this Spring.  This session will take place on this Fri., Sept. 23 from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Huntley Park District at 12015 Mill St., in Huntley. You will learn what is required for filing in the upcoming election.  Please contact the McHenry County Clerk's office at countyclerk@co.mchenry.il.us as soon as possible if you plan on attending.

New Monthly Newsletters Provide Great Information for District Families

The Carol M. White PEP Grant, which was awarded to District 200 two years ago, is focused on improving physical activity and nutrition habits for our students.  As an initiative of the grant, we are excited to introduce two monthly newsletters, Nutrition Nuggets and Teen Food & Fitness. The newsletters offer practical ideas to improve nutrition and physical activity habits.

SENIORS - This is your Last Chance to be in the Yearbook!

Wednesday, October 12 is your LAST CHANCE! If you did NOT come in during the summer for your Senior Photo session, you MUST come on this day.  Please sign up in the guidance office during your lunch hour to sign up for your session, which will take place on Oct. 12 between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in room D187.  These photographs are the only ones that can be used in our yearbooks. You do not have to purchase the photos they take but they must take the photo.  If you have any questions please see Mr. Weber.

D200 Employees Recognized for Service

More than 1000 total years of hard work were recognized recently at the District’s annual back-to-school kick-off meeting for all staff.  Fifty-seven staff members from all areas of the district were recognized and thanked for their contributions.  Special congratulations went to Kirk Benda, Joy Fister, Kathy Shea and Tom White, for 30 years of service.  Please see “Read more” below for photos and a listing of all who were honored.

New System Allows Parents Easy Access to Bus Routing Information

District 200 is pleased to announce the implementation of a new online system which will allow parents easy access to current bus routing information. The information available to parents reflects all changes in busing routes.  However, it does not provide real-time tracking of buses. See "Read more" below for log-in information.  The log-in link can also be accessed from all school websites by using the blue navigational bar on the left side of the page, labeled "Bus Route Info."

WNHS Girls Volleyball Team Honored with Academic Award

Woodstock North High School is proud to announce that the Woodstock North 2015-16 Girls Volleyball team has been named a recipient of the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award. The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced recently that 771 teams throughout the United States have earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2015-2016 season.

WNHS Named One of America's Most Challenging High Schools Again!

Woodstock North High School is on the Washington Post's list of America's Most Challenging High Schools for the second year in a row! This is an amazing accomplishment that reflects the hard work of our teachers, counselors, associates, administration, assistants, and everyone else at Woodstock North that contributes and collaborates to offer rigorous opportunities to our students. But more significantly, the student body deserves to be recognized for their hard work and willingness to stretch themselves beyond their academic comfort zones.
