February 26, 2014The District 200 Board of Education has announced that at its February 25 meeting, Michael Moan was appointed as the new Superintendent for Woodstock District 200. Mike grew up in Woodstock and graduated from Woodstock High School. He has most currently been employed in Huntley District 158 as a teacher, Dean of Students, Principal and Chief Academic Officer.
February 26, 2014WNHS Key Club will be hosting its first St. Baldrick's event on Friday, March 14 from 11 a.m to 12:30 p.m. The St. Baldrick's foundation raises money to help fund research and development efforts for childhood cancers.
February 26, 2014The Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 Board of Education is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the school board. The successful candidate will be appointed during April and will serve until the Spring 2015 election.
February 25, 2014The District 200 Board of Education is seeking nominations from the public for the PRIDE awards, which will be given to outstanding seniors in this year’s graduating classes of Woodstock High School and Woodstock North High School. Students can be recognized in seven different categories which represent the areas that the school board believes are truly valued by the community of District 200.
February 13, 2014Woodstock North High School will be hosting FAFSA completion night on Wed., Feb. 26, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. . All senior students and their parents are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Representatives from Illinois Student Assistance Commission and WNHS guidance counselors will be available to answer all of your filing questions. Last year Illinois funds ran out in early March, so it is critical to apply early! Before the event, make sure to apply for a FAFSA PIN for both the student and parent.
January 31, 2014WNHS Juniors are invited to participate in our Job Shadowing Program during the week of March 10 through March 14. Job shadowing gives students a chance to see firsthand the day-to-day requirements of a selected occupation under the guidance of an experienced professional. This on-site practical experience provides insights not normally gained in the classroom or through written materials.
