WNHS Prom 2017

Prom 2017:  An Evening at Gatsby's.  This year's Prom will be held at Starline Factory in Harvard, IL from 5:30-11:00.  We will leave WNHS at 5:00pm sharp and return to WNHS at 11:30pm.  We will be doing a pre-sale for prom tickets on April 9th from 1-3 inside the main entrance.  To reserve your table, you must purchase all tickets at the same time. Only one person needs to be present with any necessary forms and money.

WNHS Graduation DVD Orders Taken Now

WNHS Graduation 2017 will be captured with multiple cameras on Saturday, May 20, 2017.  DVD's will be mailed to your home in four to six weeks after graduation. A special rate is being offered for parents and grandparents who pre-order before May 20, and they will receive a FREE digital copy to watch on any device. MCC Hosts Career Exploration Showcase

McHenry County College invites students from middle school through sophomore year, and their families, to attend the McHenry County College 2017 Career Exploration Showcase. This free event will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at MCC – 8900 US Rte 14, Crystal Lake.  Please see “Read more” below for details.

WNHS Students Take Part in Annual Robotics Competition at MCC

High School teams from around the county attended the second annual VEX Robotics Competition at McHenry County College on Friday, March 17.  Included among the teams  was Woodstock North High School.  WNHS Project Lead the Way instructor Stephen Buchs said, “It is great to see what the students come up with. The students this year made huge improvements from last year, and students were already trying to plan for next year’s competition before we left MCC!”

Visiting Robot Demonstrates Real-Life Engineering Applications for Students

More than 115,600 people visited the annual International Manufacturing Technology Show at McCormick Place in Chicago. Among them were Project Lead the Way classes from both high schools, who had the opportunity to view technology in action and make connections from their studies to real world applications.  Through a registration at the show, Stephen Buchs’ WNHS Principles of Engineering students won a visit from KUKA Robotics, who visited Woodstock North High School on February 23rd and brought a working robot with them.

WNHS Junior Job Shadowing

All of us at the Woodstock School District want to help our students make the most informed career choice possible. With that goal in mind, we are pleased to announce a very special opportunity for juniors​. It is time for Junior Job Shadowing!! During the week of March 13​th ​through March 17​th​, members of our business community will open their doors to let interested juniors observe them for one “day on the job” and learn more about careers that they want to pursue.
