Spring Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent/teacher conferences will be held on Thurs., Feb. 11, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Fri., Feb. 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Scheduling individual teacher conferences can be made using Pick-A-Time, an Internet-based appointment system.  Letters with instructions were mailed out on Jan. 29.  Pick-A-Time is now open and will remain open until Thurs., Feb. 11 at 11:00 a.m. Click on Read More to access the link to schedule your appointments.

High School Vocalists to Perform with Professional Choir

WHS and WNHS choral programs are in the midst of preparing for a very unique opportunity that will enrich their musical learning. They are rehearsing a Choral Masterwork to be performed on February 21st with a professional choir, organ, percussion and harp. The performance will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock.

WYSE Team Places Third at Regional Competition

The Woodstock North WYSE Academic Team earned 3rd place at the regional competition at MCC on Feb 5th.  Individual winners include T.Guarneros (3rd place, biology), R. Hanson (2nd place, computer science), and W. Taylor (1st place, engineering graphics).  Additional members of the team were A. Carr, K. Taylor, A. Keesee, L. Garza, K. Mucha, D. Chamberlain, A. Molve, A. Massman, Z. Emricson, J. McCoy, and T. Kempster.  W. Taylor and R. Hanson will advance to sectionals! Way to go Thunder WYSE!

Technology Night Presentations Available for Online Viewing

Woodstock District 200 presented its first D200 Technology Night on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Olson Elementary School.  The evening focused on the district’s 1:1 technology initiative and the exciting new ways our students are learning. Presentations from the evening are now available for viewing.

WNHS is pleased to announce a very special opportunity for juniors.  During the week of March 7th through March 11th, members of our business community will open their doors to let interested juniors observe them for one “day on the job” and learn more about careers that they want to pursue.

Annual Groundhog Day Dinner/Auction is February 6th

The District 200 Education Foundation’s annual Groundhog Day Dinner/Auction will be held this year on Saturday, February 6th from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Starline Factory in Harvard (306 W Front St #204E, Harvard, IL 60033). Tickets are $60 each, and a cash bar will be available. The evening’s events will include:

Winter Theater Productions Opening Soon

The theater departments at both Woodstock High School and Woodstock North High School have exciting winter performances opening soon.  At WHS, Gooney Bird Greene opens January 22, followed by the opening of My Personal Angel on January 29.  WNHS Theater for Young Audiences series presents Sleeping Beauty (With a Rock and Roll Twist!) beginning February 12.  See below for more information.

District 200 Named to AP Honor Roll for Student Access and Success

Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 is one of 15 districts in the State of Illinois to be honored by the College Board with placement on the 6th annual AP District Honor Roll.  The honor is given to districts in the U.S. and Canada that simultaneously achieved increases in access to Advanced Placement® courses for a broader number of students and also maintained or improved the rate at which their AP students earned scores of 3 or higher on an AP Exam, which in turn can be counted toward college credit at most universities.

Woodstock North High School is on the Washington Post's list of America's Most Challenging High Schools for 2015! This is an amazing accomplishment that reflects the hard work of our teachers, counselors, associates, administration, assistants, and everyone else at Woodstock North that contributes and collaborates to offer rigorous opportunities to our students. But more significantly, the student body deserves to be recognized for their hard work and willingness to stretch themselves beyond their academic comfort zones.
