The Board of Education was proud to recognize two outstanding educators from Woodstock High School at Tuesday’s meeting, as selected by Principal Art Vallicelli. No School - January 19
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., there will be no school on Monday, January 19. Classes will resume on January 20.
D200 offers various summer school courses that provide opportunities for accelerated academic growth, remediation, personal growth, and middle-to-high-school transitions.
Registration begins January 6.

A total of 54 students in the Woodstock and Woodstock North High School graduating class of 2026 have been designated as Illinois State Scholars for the 2025-2026 school year.

With encouragement from Woodstock North High School educators, a sophomore life skills student is transforming his hobby into what is turning into a thriving business. Angelo Smilgis enjoys creating beaded friendship bracelets, which have become popular items on the Thunder campus.

Woodstock North AP and Dual Credit history students are supplementing their classwork with after-school lessons from visiting college professors.

A recent Woodstock North grad spent this summer as a NASA intern working on solutions to refueling vehicles in space. Owen Bonnett, from the Thunder Class of 2024, spent 10 weeks at the Johnson Space Center near Houston until Aug. 9 before returning to Carthage College this fall.
