PaCE Framework

Illinois PaCE Framework in District 200

The Illinois Postsecondary and Career Expectations (PaCE) Framework is designed to help make a connection between career and post-secondary exploration. This framework, developed through stakeholder and subject matter input, outlines essential experiences and information for students from 6th grade through high school.

Key Focus Areas

The D200 High School PaCE Framework focuses on three primary components:

  • Career Exploration and Development - Providing D200 students with information and experiences to discover and prepare for potential career paths
  • Postsecondary Education Exploration, Preparation, and Selection - Offering structured guidance for researching and selecting appropriate educational opportunities after high school
  • Financial Aid and Literacy - Delivering clear information about college financing options and financial management skills

Purpose and Implementation

District 200 schools and community partners offer numerous college and career readiness activities. The PaCE Framework connects these initiatives to provide comprehensive student preparation. This framework functions as an organizational tool that enables District 200 to:

  • Document and connect existing programs
  • Identify areas requiring additional resources or attention
  • Establish a consistent approach to college and career preparation

The implementation of this framework ensures all D200 students receive support and resources to make informed decisions about their educational and career futures.
